The
imaging facility at IGBMC offers a collection of state of the art
conventional services in confocal and electron microscopy equipment.
The facility is composed of a multidisciplinary team
(biologists,
physicists, computer scientist, optical instrumentation engineer,
graphic designer) and two scientific advisors.
The facility provides technical assistance and training
courses for
beginner and advanced levels.
A major goal of the centre is to assist users by developing
customised
informatics and microscopy tools.
The facility promotes cooperation between IGBMC and Industry
to improve
communication between users and producers of microscopy technology,
including workshops and presentations.
The facility is open to external users and has been labelled
at the
National level in 2004 (RIO platform).
The 2003 Inserm Innovation Prize has been awarded to Jean Luc
Vonesch
for this facility.
